ABOUT GEORGE THENGUMMOOTTIL



Right from his childhood George Thengummoottil (George Joseph) have been strangely drawn to the amazing world of Science.

He spent most of his time reading science books, and never missed peeping into The National Geographic Magazine. During his school and college days he has won several awards and prices in science projects and inter-college competitions.

Photographs and articles by Mr George have found their place in many leading newspapers and magazines of India including the Times of India and The Indian Express. His articles appeared in various magazines and books published by The Government of Kerala and Government of Nepal. He has travelled all over India, photographing nature, people and traditions.

He aims to bring down the gap between Technology and People and aims to become a science filmmaker. He holds Masters in Computer Science and Journalism. He is a member of Nilgiri Wildlife and Environmental Association and National Geographic Society.

George Thengummoottil was born at Palakkad, Kerala, India. He is popular as a technical consultant, and Artist. Currently he lives at Bangalore. He is usually on travel on assignments across India. His intrests include photography, Filmmaking and Teaching. Mr George taught computer Science at Shecubtse College, Bhutan
